We love moments of inspiration because they feel immediate. Formation is different. Formation is often quiet, repetitive, and hidden.
God shapes us through Scripture, prayer, correction, community, delay, responsibility, and obedience. He is not merely helping us appear stronger. He is producing the character of Christ within us.
Do not despise the process
The slow work is still holy work. A repeated lesson is not proof that God has abandoned you; it may be evidence that He is establishing something deep enough to carry future responsibility.
Ask for grace not only to receive God’s promises, but also to submit to His process.
Reflect
Where are you tempted to rush what God is forming? What lesson keeps returning? How can you cooperate with grace today?
