Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 4:1–5
In today’s passage, Apostle Paul invites the Corinthians to see Christian leadership through a different lens. He calls them to view every servant of Christ as a steward, someone entrusted with what belongs to another. A steward does not own the message, the gifts, or the ministry. Everything belongs to God. The one requirement is faithfulness.
Here are three truths from today’s passage:

We are servants entrusted with God’s gifts. Paul describes himself as a servant of Christ and a steward of the mysteries of God. Whatever God places in our hands is a trust. Our gifts, opportunities, influence, and responsibilities belong to Him. We are called to manage them with humility.

Faithfulness matters more than human approval. Paul refuses to let the opinions of others define his worth. Human judgment is limited. People see the surface, but God sees the heart. Our goal is not to please every voice but to be faithful to the One who called us.

God alone sees every motive clearly. Paul does not even trust his own self-assessment as final. The Lord will bring hidden things to light and reveal the motives of the heart. This truth humbles us and frees us. We do not need to expose, compare, or condemn others. God is the righteous Judge.
This passage invites us to live with a steward’s heart. We hold everything loosely, serve faithfully, and leave judgment to God. In the end, the praise that matters will come from Him.
Pray with me: Dear Lord, please make me a faithful steward of what You’ve entrusted to me. Free me from the need for human approval and keep my motives pure before You.
