Scripture Reading: Hebrews 12:25–29
In today’s passage, the writer gives a sober but hope-filled reminder: God is still speaking, and how we respond to His voice matters. Israel once refused the One who warned them from the mountain, and the consequences were severe. Now, God is speaking again and His call carries even greater weight.
Here are three truths from today’s passage:

God’s voice must not be ignored. God spoke at Sinai, and the earth trembled. Now He speaks through Christ, calling us to listen with reverence and humility. To ignore Him is to turn away from the only source of life and stability.

God will shake what is temporary so that what is eternal remains. The passage recalls God’s promise: “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” This shaking is purification. God removes what is unstable so that what is eternal can stand. In a world filled with uncertainty, shifting values, and fragile foundations, this truth brings comfort. What belongs to God will endure.

Our response to God’s voice determines our foundation. Because of Christ, we receive a kingdom that is steady, secure, and everlasting. When we choose to heed His call, we build our lives on what cannot be shaken. Faith, obedience, and trust in Christ anchor us amid life’s storms, making us part of a kingdom that endures forever.
Pray with me: Dear Lord, thank You for giving me a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Please help me listen when You speak.
