Scripture Reading: Hebrews 3:1–6
“Therefore, holy brothers and sisters... Fix your thoughts on Jesus…” Hebrews 3:1
In today’s passage, the writer of Hebrews calls us to a deliberate, disciplined focus: fix your thoughts on Jesus. This is not to glance at Him or to occasionally remember Him. We are invited to anchor our mind on the One who is both Apostle and High Priest. The writer wants us to see Jesus as the center of our faith, the builder of our lives, and the One worthy of our deepest attention.
Here are two truths from today’s passage

Jesus deserves the full attention of our minds. We fix our thoughts on many things, worries, goals, pressures, people’s opinions. But today, we are called to redirect the focus of our minds toward Jesus. He is the One who defines our calling, shapes our identity, and sustains our faith. When we intentionally set our minds on Him, we begin to see every aspect of life through the lens of His truth and grace. We discover that our confidence and peace are not rooted in circumstances but in His unchanging character and faithful presence.

We are God’s house. We belong to God’s household, not because of our performance, but because of our faith in Christ. This means our place with God is not built on our own efforts but anchored in the faithfulness of Jesus, who holds us together as His people. As members of His house, we are invited to live with confidence, drawing strength from His presence and allowing His love to shape the way we face challenges
This passage invites us to slow down, quiet the noise, and intentionally center our minds on Jesus. He is the builder of our lives, the Son over God’s house, and the One who holds us fast. As we direct our thoughts toward Him, we find clarity in our purpose and assurance in His steadfast love, allowing His presence to overshadow our anxieties and refocus our hearts on what matters most.
Pray with me: Dear Lord, please help me fix my thoughts on Jesus. Quiet every distraction and anchor my mind in His faithfulness, His authority, and His love.
