Christmas Special
Scripture Reading: Matthew 1:18-25
“…you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21
In today’s passage, Scripture brings us back to the heart of Christmas. Before there were traditions, gatherings, or celebrations, there was a promise, a Savior who would enter our world to rescue us. Christmas is about God stepping into humanity to bring hope, peace, and salvation.

Jesus came to save, not just to be celebrated. The angel’s message to Joseph is clear: Jesus came with a mission to save His people from their sins. His birth cannot be separated from His purpose. Christmas is not just the story of a baby in a manger; it is the arrival of the Savior who would give His life for us.

Jesus offers what the world cannot give. The season brings joy, generosity, and celebration, but none of these can satisfy the deepest needs of the human heart. Only Jesus brings true peace, lasting hope, and the assurance of God’s love. He is the gift that anchors every other blessing.
This season invites us to slow down and remember what matters most. Jesus is the center, the meaning, and the joy of Christmas. When our hearts are fixed on Him, everything else finds its proper place.
Pray with me: Dear Lord, please help me keep Jesus at the center of this season. Remind me of the hope, peace, and salvation He brings.
