Scripture Reading: John 9:7.

Then Jesus said to him, ‘Go and wash in the pool of Siloam.’ (Siloam means Sent.) So the man went and washed, and came back seeing. — John 9:7.

In a moment charged with divine purpose, Jesus encounters a man blind from birth. The disciples ask a theological question—“Who sinned?”—but Jesus redirects their attention to a greater truth: “This happened so that the works of God might be displayed.”

Moved by compassion, Jesus acts. He applies mud to the man’s eyes and gives a simple yet profound instruction: “Go and wash.” The man obeys. And in that act of obedience, the miraculous unfolds—he receives sight for the first time in his life.

This passage reveals two powerful truths:

  1. Obedience unlocks divine intervention The miracle didn’t happen when Jesus spoke—it happened when the man acted. Faithful obedience, even when the path is unclear, positions us to receive what God has prepared.
  2. God’s instructions often defy logic Washing in a pool may not seem like a cure for blindness. But God’s ways are higher. When we trust His voice over our reasoning, we step into the miraculous.

This wasn’t just physical healing—it was a testimony of transformation. The man’s obedience became the doorway to sight, purpose, and witness.

Declare Today: Lord, help me to obey—even when it’s inconvenient, unclear, or uncomfortable. I trust Your voice. I believe Your instructions carry power. Let my obedience become the pathway to Your miraculous work in my life.
